BRPD hosts 'Night Out Against Crime' on Thursday

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

The Baton Rouge Police Department is hosting Night Out Against Crime on Thursday, October 16th from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Baton Rouge Police Headquarters, 9000 Airline Hwy (The old Woman's Hospital).

Night Out Against Crime has proven to be an effective and enjoyable event to promote neighborhood spirit and positive community-police partnerships in our fight for safer communities. This community event has been enjoyed by all ages for several years.

Bring the kids and learn about crime prevention. Enjoy fun, gifts and free food. Get picture ID cards made for the children. Learn fire safety with the fire departments interactive fire house. 

See police K-9 demonstrations. Dance to music, see specialty equipment used by law enforcement and get a close look at the huge police horses.

Let the criminals know that neighborhoods are getting organized and fighting back.
