POINTE COUPEE PARISH, LA (WAFB) -

False River Academy biology teacher Nick Dominque has turned himself in to authorities after being accused of having sexual relations with a 16-year-old student.

Nicholas Paul Dominque, 27, of Ventress, LA has been charged with oral sexual battery and indecent behavior with a juvenile.

"Allegations were made. Law enforcement was contacted immediately," said Melanie Ezell, False River Academy principal.

As of Monday, he is no longer employed at False River Academy.

"Were there any text messages or photos sent back and forth between the student and Nick?" "Yes, that's part of the investigation," said Sheriff Bud Torres,  "but I'm not at liberty to go into that. We have prepared our investigation based on all the evidence that was available to us at the time and now we have completed that investigation and we're forwarding it to the district attorney."

He is being held in the Pointe Coupe Parish Jail where no bond has been set.
