This week's "Your Turn" segment goes to Daniel Harrell. Harrell is one of many people who offered a rebuttal to our commentary on the Baton Rouge police officer who earned more than $190,000 last year because he worked a lot of overtime. Harrell supports the officer.
In his words: Never fault an officer for wanting to work. Law enforcement is one of the most underpaid jobs out there for the dangers involved. Not my opinion, it's a fact. How can you fault a man for wanting to work to bring home more money? I work in the plants and I know many others who do as well. Overtime is something we do to make extra money. Plant managers love that in people. And for law enforcement, I love it too. He wants to do his job, probably loves his job. Who are you to fault it?
