This week's “Your Turn” segment goes to Daniel Harrell. Harrell is one of many people who offered a rebuttal to our commentary on the Baton Rouge police officer who earned more than $190,000 last year because he worked a lot of overtime. Harrell supports the officer.
In his words: Never fault an officer for wanting to work. Law enforcement is one of the most underpaid jobs out there for the dangers involved. Not my opinion, it's a fact. How can you fault a man for wanting to work to bring home more money? I work in the plants and I know many others who do as well. Overtime is something we do to make extra money. Plant managers love that in people. And for law enforcement, I love it too. He wants to do his job, probably loves his job. Who are you to fault it?
That's Daniel Harrell's turn. Now it's your turn. To comment on this segment or anything else, visit us on Facebook or send an email to email@example.com.
