JACKSON, LA (WAFB) - Authorities said two teen boys accused of trying to rape a special needs teen girl at school in September were arrested Monday.
The Jackson Police Department reported Breeon Lee, 18, of Jackson, and Jacobey Johnson, 18, of Clinton, are charged with attempted aggravated rape. Bond for each suspect is $200,000.
Investigators said the alleged attempted rape happened at East Feliciana High School on September 22.
The only information I have is it's two 17 and 18-yr-old brought a 16-yr-old into the band room and attempted to have sex with her," said East Feliciana District Attorney Sam D'Aquilla.
D'Aquilla said the two will be charged as adults. He added the maximum sentence for attempted aggravated rape is 50 years.
The East Feliciana Superintendent Dr. Lewis Henderson said because the matter involves students, he would not release many details.
"The East Feliciana Parish school Board is dealing with a matter involving allegations of an inappropriate contact between students at an area school. Our East Feliciana Parish School System Employees and Administration are cooperating fully with local law enforcement officials' investigation," said Dr. Henderson.
Police continue to investigate the case.
