This week's "Your Turn" segment goes to Terri Adams. Adams is one of many people who reacted to the story about the last minute deal to keep open the emergency room at Baton Rouge General in Mid-City. Adams thinks the system is broken.
In her words: Everyone should have access to emergency care. People with and without insurance use the emergency room as their regular physician. If it's not an emergency, go to a regular doctor. Don't go to the ER pregnant and pretending to be sick so you can get an ultrasound then ask to know what sex your baby is. It happens all the time. So now, the working taxpayers take it on the chin again.
