HAMMOND, LA (WAFB) -

The Hammond Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect accused of sexual battery.

The complaint happened Sunday around 4 p.m. at Target in Hammond. Officials with the Hammond Police Department say a man was standing behind a woman and her child in the Starbucks line when he began fondling himself.

Reports say he then bumped into the back of the woman multiple times. When the woman realized what the man was doing, she left to find a store manager and report the incident.

The suspect stayed in the store for about a minute and left through the entrance doors.

If you know the suspect or have any information regarding this investigation, you are urged to call the Hammond Police Department at 985-277-5705.
