BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The message from the latest project of the Greater Baton Rouge Habitat for Humanity is women helping other women.
The program is called Women Build 2014. Organizers say the goal is to come together to address the problem of mothers and children living in poverty.
So, it's an all-women volunteer crew working on a house on Madison Avenue. It will take about three months to complete the home.
"This is our ninth Habitat home," said Lynn Clark with GBR Habitat for Humanity. "We've built 315 total in our 25 year history."
Volunteers will continue to work on the home every Wednesday and Saturday until it is completed.
