Police: Man claims he stabbed woman to death during argument

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Police said a woman is dead after being stabbed early Saturday morning.

The victim was identified as Lekeisha Duncan, 32, of Baton Rouge.

The Baton Rouge Police Department reported officers went to Duncan's home on Courtland Circle, which is near BREC Oak Villa Park, around 4 a.m. after a 911 call.

According to reports, a man with stab wounds answered the door at the home and reportedly told officers he was in an argument with Duncan and killed her. The man's name was not given and it is unknown whether he lived at the home.

Police said Duncan was found unresponsive with stab wounds to the head. EMS arrived a short time later and pronounced her dead at the scene.

Detectives are investigating the incident. They have not yet reported an arrest.
