Police investigating shooting in North Baton Rouge

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Police are investigating a shooting that sent two people to the hospital Wednesday evening, but their wounds are not considered life-threatening.

The Baton Rouge Police Department reported the shooting happened on North 35th Street near Cain Street around 7 p.m.

Cpl. Don Coppola Jr. said police were called out to the area after a report of multiple shots fired. He added a 48-year-old man and 32-year-old man were driven to the hospital before officers arrived on the scene.

Investigators have not identified a suspect or determined a motive for the shooting.
