BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Officials said robbery was the motive in a shooting that left a 37-year-old man dead in June and they have booked a suspect in the crimes.
The Baton Rouge Police Department reported Stanley Grigsby, 32, was arrested in the shooting death of Columbus Milligan. Grigsby is charged with first-degree murder.
The shooting happened on Mohican Street near Wayne Drive on June 29, 2014. Officers were called to the scene after gunshots were fired. When they arrived, they found Milligan's body near the back of the apartment complex.
Investigators added Grigsby was already in the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on an unrelated charge.
