'NCIS: New Orleans' looks to capture city's personality

Inside peek at 'NCIS: New Orleans'

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WAFB) - Producers of NCIS: New Orleans were challenged with capturing the city's bold personality.

The media was given an exclusive look on how they did it and what to expect for the season premiere.

Fans of the original NCIS will most surely love the newest offering, NCIS: New Orleans, and the producers are hoping a little New Orleans flair will catch on with everybody.

The stars of the show are also adjusting to life in "The Big Easy."

"I just appreciate the spirit of New Orleans," Zoe McLellan (NCIS Special Agent Brody) said. "The people don't mess around and they make life fun."

"I've made some choices on how I want him to sound," Scott Bakula (NCIS Special Agent Pride) said. "You don't say this is. It's not New Orleans. Please don't say that. So, you take that and incorporate it in your work. Hopefully, we come up with something that works."

"The chemistry that I have between Scott Bakula, Lucas Black, Zoe McLellan - I'm excited about it," said Gary Glasberg, an executive producer on the show. "They all have the humor and the fun that we are able to do on the original show."

NCIS: New Orleans premieres Tuesday at 8 p.m. on CBS.
