BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A ride with an Uber driver could keep you dry on Saturday, and the company is changing their pickup locations after LSU's first home game of the season.
Louisiana Uber General Manager Tom Hayes told the Baton Rouge Business Report they were a bit overwhelmed for the first game last Saturday, even though they geared up for the increase. Friday they have two suggested pickup locations instead of four: Aster Street near Gov. Claiborne Drive, and Nicholson Drive near Southgate Towers.
Uber officials said they made hundreds of trips last weekend and they're taking what they learned last week to make this weekend better.
The company will not disclose exactly how many drivers they have in the Capitol city, except to say several hundred. Hayes says it makes sense that most drivers working this weekend will be in the LSU campus area.
