BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A new 3D printer was unveiled at the Louisiana Business and Technology Center on Wednesday.
The new device doesn't just print put flat laser cut images. It is called 'protostripes' and it can build anything with its 3D printer.
"We've had a trial run on a medical device that has moving parts. And we've had one of the companies here, St. James Technologies, that's made a product, or part for the automotive industry," said LBTC Executive Director Charlie D'Agostino.
'Protostripes' plans to man the printer with an engineering student, allowing any business which wants to build a prototype, to hire them.
