Plant collecting donations at mall for care packages sent to troops

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

The anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on America is Thursday, and in Baton Rouge, employees of the BASF Plant will pack almost 200 care packages for local troops who have been deployed for the country to places around the world.

Anyone who wishes to contribute can bring personal hygiene items for homeless veterans to a collection point in the Food Court of the Mall of Louisiana's east entrance.

Veterans are also urged to bring their resumes for bring their resumes for visit about 30 potential employers at the Mall of Louisiana, on the second floor near the Food Court. The Veterans Career fair will last from noon- 6 p.m.
