JACKSON, LA (WAFB) - The State Police are searching for a suspect who is responsible for the burglary of a sporting goods store in East Feliciana Parish.
According to LSP spokesperson Trooper Jared Sandifer, an unidentified man broke into the Thompson Creek Sporting Goods store on LA Hwy 10 in Jackson. Surveillance footage caught the suspect placing guns into a bag and leaving the store. Afterwards, he returns and gathered several more guns into the bag once again before leaving.
The suspect is described as a light-skinned black male, about six feet tall with a thin build. He has a tattoo with a cross and writing on his left forearm, a tattoo with writing on the inside of his right forearm, and one on his right bicep. Authorities say he was wearing a tank top with the word "LOVE" printed on the front, a cross necklace, a 'boonie' hat and a dark wristwatch on his left arm. He also had on "Mechanix Wear" gloves or something similar.
State Police are working with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) in this ongoing investigation.
