BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Yelp! Baton Rouge needed the public's help after a limb from a dead oak tree crashed through there roof and the tree threatened the rest of their building.
The group needed money to repair the roof and to have the dead oak tree removed. It was going to cost about $4,500.
The tree limb crashed through the roof of their rescue house on August 22. As of September 9, they have raised $4,700, which is enough for the tree removal, but other repairs also need to be funded.
Any donations made that are not used for the tree removal or repairs go back to the stray dogs the group rescues.

Donations are tax deductible, and Yelp! Baton Rouge officials say they can provide a tax receipt.
Yelp! Baton Rouge is a no-kill dog rescue located at 3205 Lanier Drive in Baton Rouge. Greco's Pet Supply allows Yelp!BR to use the house for free, however Yelp! is responsible for utilities and maintenance. Yelp! Baton Rouge officials are looking for licensed volunteers to help with home repairs such as roofing and plumbing work.
