EUNICE, LA (WAFB) - A Eunice man has been arrested on 30 counts of child pornography.
According to the state attorney general's office, 35-year-old Kevin Briscoe was charged with 29 counts of possession and a single count of distributing pornography involving juveniles.
He is charged with violating a state law forbidding a person to produce, distribute, or possess or with intent to possess pornography involving juveniles. A search of Briscoe's home resulted in dozens of pornographic images and videos.
"I appreciate the dedicated officers of the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office for assisting my office in identifying and apprehending this individual," said Attorney General Caldwell. "I am very proud of my Cyber Crime Unit's success in this case. Online criminals are elusive and are constantly changing their schemes and methods on the internet. We are currently working to enhance the technology and tools we need to fight these online predators who prey on our children."
He faces up to 20 years in prison for each count.
