BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The smell of cooking is all over Baton Rouge as dozens of LSU Tiger and Southern Jaguar fans tailgated for their first home games.
Over at LSU people were out soaking up the sun under their purple and gold tents. Corey Dinkel with Performance Contractors said his group has the best tailgate. High seat tables and an open bar had the tailgate looking like a night club.
'We have the best bus, food, and the best music," said Dinkel "You don't even have to go inside the stadium, because we have three 60" TVs ready to go."
LSU's game against Sam Houston State isn't the only thing tiger fans were anxious to see. New improvements to the stadium was a hot topic for Forrest Guedry and Macy Decote.
"We are excited to see the big jumbo screen and the new menu in the concession stands," said Guedry.
On the Bluff, people were getting ready for the Jags to play Central Methodist. Leo Walters had a Southern colored RV, he said was dedicated to his wife.
"She was a Southernite and I just had to paint it for her," said Walters.
It really didn't matter who you cheered for. All that matter was that you were there.
