Public input wanted for LSU Lakes project

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The future of the LSU Lakes is now in your hands.

The Baton Rouge Area Foundation is beginning a project to restore the entire system of lakes which many people don't know is actually six different lakes.

The group is asking for input from the community to find out exactly what residents want to be fixed.

Starting in September, the Foundation will hold a series of public meetings to get your answers.

“Yes, we want to fix the lakes,” says John Spain. “Yes, we understand that, but what are those amenities that would make what we think are the crown jewels of our city even better?”

The project is expected to take nine to twelve months. Engineering is already underway.
