BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Shoppers who missed out on Labor Day deals still have a chance to save, thanks to a couple of businesswomen.
Ashley Thom and Shelby Smith are holding their 11
Lollipop Lane consignment sale. It begins Wednesday at 9 a.m. at the corner of Highland Road and Staring Lane. The address is 8883 Highland Road.
Shoppers can find discounted children's clothing and toys at that location through Saturday. Lollipop Lane's hours and information can be found at the Lollipop Market website.
Items that are not purchased or picked up at the end of the sale, are donated to the City Constable's Holiday Helpers program.
"Throughout the year…Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter…they disperse it to families in need around the community," Smith said.
Across town, Style Encore is opening its doors on Thursday at 11112 Airline Highway. It is a resale store for women, ages 25-55, located next to Once Upon a Child. Women can bring in gently used designer clothing and get cash on the spot. The items are put on display in the store for shoppers to purchase at a discounted price.
Style Encore is owned by the same people who run Plato's Closet in Baton Rouge. For more information about the resale shop, visit the Style Encore website.
