Deputies search for man wanted for allegedly shooting at neighbor

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Crime Stoppers is asking for the public's help in finding a man accused of shooting at another man who had allegedly gotten into an argument with the suspect's mother.

The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office is looking for Qdarious Hankton, 20. He is wanted for attempted second-degree murder and illegal use of a weapon.

Deputies said on July 12, the victim and a woman believed to be Hankton's mother got into an argument in the neighborhood where they both live.

They reported the victim later left the scene and was standing near his home when Hankton walked out of his own home and allegedly showed the victim a gun.

According to investigators, Hankton confronted the victim and when the man told the suspect he had nothing more to say, Hankton allegedly pulled out the gun and fired two shots at the victim.

Hankton is described as 5'8" and weighs about 135 pounds.
