TOLLESON, AZ (CBS5) -

A 25-year-old man is facing more than a dozen charges after a brutal attack while he was high on meth, according to police.

Police said Francisco Bejarano admitted to driving a stolen vehicle after an armed robbery in Tollenson.

On Aug. 24, Bejarano went to Legacy Suites at 1204 N. 91st Ave. in Tolleson and assaulted a man staying there.

Bejarano told police he "lost control" and started hitting the victim with a baton. He told police he didn't remember much after that because he was so high, according to the police report.

He took the man's car, and Phoenix police tracked him down days later. He was arrested on 16 felony charges including armed robbery, aggravated assault, kidnapping, burglary, theft and drug use.
