LIVINGSTON PARISH, LA (WAFB) -

Crime Stoppers officials said a man wanted for rape and other charges was arrested after information they received led them to the suspect.

Authorities reported Faron Strausbaugh, 19, was found in Lafourche Parish on Friday. They added after Crime Stoppers received the information about Strausbaugh's whereabouts, the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office contacted the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office and Strausbaugh was taken into custody.

Strausbaugh faces charges of forcible rape, home invasion and felony theft in connection with an incident that happened on July 24.

Investigators said Strausbaugh walked up to the victim at home and tried to talk to the person. They added the victim told Strausbaugh they were not interested and went inside their home to get their phone.

Officials said the suspect followed the victim inside, though not invited. They added he then pushed the victim onto the bed and raped the victim.

According to detectives, Strausbaugh took all of the victim's prescription medications before running out of the house.
