BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A Baton Rouge man has been booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison after being accused of false imprisonment with a dangerous weapon.
On Thursday, around 9:30 p.m., officers with the Baton Rouge Police Department went to a home in the 5400 block of Sumrall Drive in reference to a disturbance. When they arrived, the victim explained that 65-year-old Morgan Fremin was refusing to let her leave and he had two shotguns on the couch, according to the probable cause affidavit.
Officers reported seeing two shotguns and two handguns sitting on the couch in the living room.
The victim says Fremin shut the door on her on three separate occasions when she tried to leave the house. She says he threatened to hurt her as she was trying to leave.
Fremin is being held in parish prison. No bond has been set.
