Crime Stoppers searches for suspected rapist

LIVINGSTON PARISH, LA (WAFB) -

Authorities are asking for the public's help in tracking down a suspected rapist.

The Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office reported Faron Strausbaugh, 19, is wanted for forcible rape, home invasion and felony theft. Deputies said the incident happened on July 24.

Investigators said Strausbaugh walked up to the victim at home and tried to talk to the person. They added the victim told Strausbaugh they were not interested and went inside their home to get their phone.

Officials said the suspect followed the victim inside, though not invited. They added he then pushed the victim onto the bed and raped the victim.

According to detectives, Strausbaugh took all of the victim's prescription medications before running out of the house.

He is described as 5'7" and weighs about 160 pounds.
