Plans underway for Eugene Street in Mid City

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -  Plans are underway for Eugene Street  between Boudreaux's Catering and Baton Rouge Magnet High School in Mid City.

Mid City Merchants are pushing a plan that calls for an outdoor stage, green space, and a splash pad, according to the Baton Rouge Business Report. The project will complement the state's redesign program to reduce Government street from four lanes to two lanes and make it more pedestrian friendly.
