BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - East Baton Rouge Sheriff's deputies arrested a woman on domestic aggravated assault after she tried to hit her child's father with an iron pipe and run over him with her car.

Authorities were called to a disturbance  in the 7800 block of Maplewood Drive at about 4:11 p.m. on Aug. 17.  A man told police that the mother of his child who he identified as Patrice Williams attempted to hit him with an iron pipe and her car.  It  happened when the victim was at his residence talking with Williams. The man says Williams became angry and got the iron pipe from her vehicle and swung it at his head several times, but missed.  He says she also tried to hit him with her car when she was leaving and it all took place while their three-year old child was in the vehicle.

Williams admitted to trying to hit him with the iron pipe and run over him, but she said it all started from a domestic battery that took place at her residence on Cadillac Street.

Williams was taken into custody and charged with domestic aggravated assault and child endangerment. She was also charged with domestic battery.
