MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

The Air Force says "Nobody tells the Air Force story like our Airman!" and with this the 2014 American Airman Video Contest began. One Montgomery Native has made it to the top ten and needs your help.

The Air Force brought back the contest on July 1, encouraging service members to submit a 60 second maximum video about their story of service or unique mission. Tech Sergeant Matthew Garrett, who is assigned to the 455th Air Expeditionary Wing at Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan, submitted his video and now needs your help with the final voting process.

Garrett is not only a Montgomery Native but a member of the Alabama Air National Guard, 187th Fighter Wing at Dannelly Field. Back home at the 187th he is a part of base Public Affairs as a photojournalist. The 187th has over 300 personnel deployed to Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

All of the finalists have made it onto the AFBlueTube Youtube page for voting between August 12 to the 22. Voters can "like" their favorite videos and the video with the most "likes" will win. The winning video will also be shown at the September Air Force Association conference in Washington D.C.
