Court proceedings surrounding Common Core testing approaching

On Tuesday, August 12th, a judge arguments when deciding whether to dismiss parts of a lawsuit that accuse Governor Bobby Jindal of overstepping his authority to block the use of Common Core tests. BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Arguments will begin in court over Common Core standards while school year begins. It remains to be seen which standardized test will be used for assessment at the end of the year.

On Tuesday, August 12th, a judge arguments when deciding whether to dismiss parts of a lawsuit that accuse Governor Bobby Jindal of overstepping his authority to block the use of Common Core tests. 

Following up on Friday, August 15th, a second judge will take up a separate lawsuit filed by 17 state lawmakers against the state education board and education department.
