3 arrested in connection to rash of vehicle burglaries in Livingston Parish

LIVINGSTON PARISH, LA (WAFB) - Livingston Parish Deputies have arrested three people in connection to numerous vehicle burglaries that happened July 21, 2014.

Deputies report that members with the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office contacted the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office saying they had a person in their custody with information to the burglaries. The investigation revealed the person in EBRSO custody was one of the suspects connected to the crimes.

A joint investigation further revealed more suspects.

The Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office reported all of the break-ins happened in the Denham Springs area. The suspects targeted the Forest Ridge and Westminster Estates subdivisions.

"We've identified that 36 separate vehicles were broken into," said Livingston Parish Sheriff Jason Ard. "All 36 vehicles were left unlocked."

Ard said GPS devices, credit cards, wallets and sports equipment were some of the valuables taken. He added a 2008 black Toyota FJ Cruiser with a white top was also stolen from a home that day.
