DONALDSONVILLE, LA (WAFB) - A Donaldsonville man was arrested Tuesday on multiple drug charges after Ascension Parish Sheriff’s detectives issued a search warrant at his home on Highway 18.
Detectives found pills, marijuana, cocaine, and a hand gun. The total amount of drugs seized was estimated at $4,500. At the time of the search, two children were home and released to a relative.
Gregory Sharat, 33, was charged with four counts distribution of cocaine, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession with intent to distribute hydrocodone, illegal carrying of weapons, possession of a firearm by convicted felon, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a legend drug, five counts failure to appear in court, and possession of CDS in presence of a minor.
He was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail.
Sharat, a convicted felon with prior drug offenses, was also wanted on failure to appear in court on other charges. He was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail.
