BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The LSU veterans took the field Tuesday morning for the second day of preseason practice and they were joined by a few freshmen.
One of those new Tigers in the early practice was quarterback Brandon Harris, who received praise from offensive coordinator Cam Cameron for his ball fakes.
Harris is also known for his ball strength and he was able to show it on throws to fellow freshman, wide receiver Malachi Dupre, during passing drills.
“No defense, let it rip,” Cameron told the young quarterback.
Those defenders were getting in their workouts, as defensive coordinator John “Chief” Chavis gave instructions.
“If you get up that high, you’re going to lose to me!” Chavis yelled at defensive tackle Quentin Thomas on his technique.
Safety Jalen Mill was back with the LSU veterans for the morning session.
Another group of Tigers will take the field in the afternoon.
