Former Brusly police chief expected in court Tuesday

BRUSLY, LA (WAFB) - The former Brusly Police chief is expected to be in court Tuesday and make a plea.

Jamie Whaley was arrested for a second time in June –charged with four felonies.

He’s accused of giving seven town-owned guns worth more than $1,000 to a firearms dealer, forging signatures on two Brusly city checks and cashing out $600.

This comes after Whaley already pleaded guilty back in April to malfeasance in office.

He’s on 18 months of probation from that charge.
