BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Baton Rouge Police say the eastbound lanes of South Choctaw near the Friday’s train derailment site are now open.
The lanes heading westbound on S. Choctaw remain closed. Several cars from a train went off the tracks early Friday, August 1st. S. Choctaw was closed from Monterrey to North Foster while crews tried to clean up the accident.
No dangerous chemicals were spilled in the crash, and no one had to evacuate the area.
