BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Traffic officials report all lanes were reopened on I-12 after crews completed cleaning up diesel that spilled on the roadway early Thursday morning.
The incident happened on I-12 West at Drusilla Lane around 6 a.m. The roadway was completely reopened around 7:45 a.m.
It caused a nightmare for many drivers trying to make their way to Baton Rouge from Livingston Parish and other areas to the east.
The shutdown also caused many other streets to get backed up.
The Baton Rouge Police Department is investigating the incident.
