BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A man accused of raping two women in the Tigerland area has now been formally charged for the crimes.
Isai Efrain Garcia-Vasquez, 22, of Baton Rouge, was indicted by a grand jury on one count of forcible rape and second-degree kidnapping. His bond remains at $100,000.
The Baton Rouge Police Department reported DNA linked Garcia-Vasquez to two rapes that happened a year apart. Investigators believe the women were offered rides home.
According to reports, Garcia-Vasquez admitted to the rape in June, but denied the one in July 2013.
