BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - According to investigators, a fire at a vacant house Wednesday night has been ruled as arson.

The Baton Rouge Fire Department said it started on Alliquipa Street between Wyandotte and Winnebago streets a little after 9:15 p.m.

Mark Miles with BRFD said firefighters arrived on the scene to find the house filled with flames, but it only took them about 10 minutes to get the fire under control.

He added this same abandoned house caught fire two months ago and it is believed it was intentionally set on fire that time also.

The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information about the fire is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 344-7867.
