CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

Christopher McFerron, the suspect charged in the abduction of a 72-year-old man later found dead in his car, appeared in court Tuesday for the second day in a row.

McFerron, 44, is being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center. On Monday, court documents state a judge set his bond at $100,000 for one count of failure to comply, inducing panic and using weapons while intoxicated.

An aggravated murder charge was filed after a meeting Monday between Lockland officials and the Hamilton County Prosecutor, authorities said.

McFerron was arraigned the next morning in a Hamilton County courtroom. His bond was increased to $1.25 million.

James Rolman went missing Friday after withdrawing $6,500 from U.S. Bank in Lockland.  Surveillance video showed a man getting into Rolman's car at the bank.

Rolman, who owned the David Hirschberg Steel and Recycling Center in Lockland, was found shot to death Saturday morning inside his car. Police said the car was parked in a silo at the former John. R. Trucking Company where McFerron worked two years ago.

McFerron was sued by the trucking company in 2009 for more than $5,000 in unpaid fees on repairs to a truck he brought to the company, according to court documents. The company once operated at the same address where Rolman's body was found.

Chief James Toles said McFerron, who has lived in Lockland his entire life, knew Rolman from taking scrap metal to his business.

McFerron was arrested Saturday after he fled from police on Interstates 275 and 74 through Colerain Township, officers said.

Investigators are still trying to determine if McFerron acted alone in the abduction and murder. Lockland officials ask anyone with information about the case to contact Crime Stoppers at (513) 352-3040.
