Flight bound for Dayton makes emergency landing

DAYTON, OH (FOX19) -

A flight headed for Dayton had to make an emergency landing Monday night.

Delta Flight 6093 left from LaGuardia Airport (LGA) around 9 a.m., according to Flight Aware. It was originally supposed to take off at 7:35 p.m.

According to WDTN in Dayton, the crew made the decision to divert to John F. Kennedy airport (JFK) due to a gear issue.

Delta spokesperson Lindsay McDuff said the flight landed without incident at 11:34 p.m.

Passengers were evacuated and scheduled to take another flight.

The flight is now scheduled to depart from LaGuardia Tuesday at 7:53 p.m.
