Police search for club stabbing suspect

LAFAYETTE, LA (WAFB) - Police are looking for a suspect in connection with a night club stabbing.

The Lafayette Police Department identified Jermaine Pete, 29, of Scott, as the person suspected of stabbing someone early Monday morning at a club on Johnston Street in Lafayette.

According to reports, witnesses told investigators the victim was stabbed twice during a fight. Police said witnesses added the victim had already left and gone to the hospital. 

Police reported the victim was treated and released.

Pete is wanted for attempted second-degree murder.
