Lockland PD: 72-year-old possibly abducted

James. P. Rolman from Lockland PD. James. P. Rolman from Lockland PD.

Lockland Police say they are treating the case of a missing 72-year-old man as an abduction situation.

James. P. Rolman was last seen Friday around 11:30 a.m. at the Williams Street U.S. Bank where he reportedly withdrew $6,500 in cash.

Security video shows Rolman entering his 2013 Ford Taurus before an unknown man approaches the car and gets inside, according to investigators.

Police say Rolman, the owner of Hirschberg Scrap Metal, often withdrew large amounts of cash from the bank.

"That was to pay for payroll, the employees for the business to pay for materials coming in and materials going out," said James Toles with the Lockland Police.

Police say they do not have any witnesses and attempts to track his cell phone have been unsuccessful. Authorities are reportedly using license plate reading technology that could alert them if Rolman's Taurus is pinged.

Texas Equusearch, a search and rescue organization, will have a team in Lockland Saturday at 8 a.m. to help with the search.

Police say the video surveillance will be released Saturday.

Rolman is 5 feet, 11 inches and about 235 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. His silver Taurus has plates reading FTM 4893.

Anyone with information is asked to call authorities as 513-761-1699.
