Food crawl shows people great restaurants they can get to by bus

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Foodies and the folks from Visit Baton Rouge are teaming up for a unique adventure in Baton Rouge.

They're using public transportation to complete a food crawl. About 20 people started out at 9 a.m. with breakfast bites at Triumph Kitchen downtown.

Then they boarded a CATS bus to Tony's Seafood, where they picked up some fresh boudin. Food blogger and chef Jay Ducote said Tuesday's ride isn't just about the food.

"The point is just to show that anybody can ride these buses and that they actually go places where you might want to go, including some of the best restaurants in town," Ducote said.

They also plan on hitting up Chicken Shack and Anthony's Italian Deli and topping it off with cocktails at Restaurant IPO by the time the food crawl wraps up just after 4 p.m.
