BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

For the second year in a row, Baton Rouge is being recognized by a national non-profit as one of the most playful cities in the country.

The nonprofit, which is called Kaboom, created the Playful City USA Program to celebrate and promote policies that increase play opportunities for children.

Mayor Kip Holden said it's no surprise Baton Rouge was chosen again in 2014, as the healthy city initiative targets childhood obesity.

Other cities in the area that made the list are New Roads, New Orleans, Hammond and Kenner.
