Officer rescues piglet crossing the road

CENTRAL, LA (WAFB) - Why did the pig cross the road? Well, you’ll have to ask him. Officers in Central rescued a piglet Wednesday after he wandered into traffic on Central Thruway. The Lieutenant who found him says where he was walking was no place for a little guy like him.

“There was a bunch of cars swerving and stopping and so I slowed down to see what was going on and a guy said there's a wild baby pig in the road. So I turned around and started heading back and I found him, this guy."

The pig may not be wild. Some believe he's a feral because he seems to be a micro breed or young potbelly dumped by a former owner. Officers have already found him a new home.
