ST. FRANCISVILLE, LA (WAFB) -

Investigators have not yet positively identified the skeletal remains found near an old ferry landing, but they said as of now, the body is not connected to any unsolved cases.

What's left of a body found in West Feliciana Parish over the weekend has been sent to the LSU FACES Lab for identification.

Detectives said a man cutting grass on Ferdinand Street in St. Francisville found the remains. Deputies estimate the remains had been there a few months.

The investigation is ongoing.
