BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Lil Boosie is giving back to the community as part of his live concert Thursday night at Southern University’s F.G. Clark Activity Center.

He’s lowering the ticket price from $86 to $50 after receiving concerns from parents who say they want to bring their kids, but they can’t afford it.

“He wants to give back to the city,” Promoter Terral Jackson tells 9News. “He wants to do something for the kids."

To get the special ticket price, concert goers will have to line up by 6 p.m. when doors open.

Jackson wanted to reiterate that security will be high as more than 100 officers from five different agencies will be on duty.

“I want to stress it will be zero tolerance,” Jackson says. “ We want people to feel safe and secure and comfortable bringing their kids.”

He says folks can expect a “worldclass show as Boosie is excited to be back home." Boosie is also expected to have lots of celebrity guests.

Tickets are still available at the door and online.
