BREAUX BRIDGE, LA (WAFB) - A Breaux Bridge, LA man has been arrested and charged with second degree murder for a cold case from 2002.
Two years ago, Louisiana State Police Detectives reopened a cold case homicide after a request by the St. Martin Parish District Attorney's Office. During the investigation, detectives were able to obtain information that led them to investigate 36-year-old Marshall Alexander Jr.
The investigation revealed Alexander allegedly shot and killed Scott Latiolais in a field in St. Martin Parish.
Alexander was indicted for second degree murder on June 27 and on July 1 he was arrested and booked into the St. Martin Parish jail. He is being held on a $500,000 bond.
