COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

A coyote was found in the shower of a man's home in Colerain Township.

It happened Wednesday morning in the 5200 block of Springdale Road.

Homeowner Cliff Niehaus believes the coyote followed his cat into the back shed where he often keeps food to feed the poor.

The SPCA was called to the scene to take the coyote away. The SPCA said the coyote is in good condition and officials plan to release it in its natural environment.

Coyotes are located throughout Ohio, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.

Niehaus' cat wasn't as fortunate as this coyote. The cat died in the incident.
