BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - All of the signatures gathered in support of making St. George its own city can stand, according to an opinion issued Monday by Louisiana Attorney General Buddy Caldwell.

He said despite parts of the Mall of Louisiana and other areas being annexed into Baton Rouge after the signature gathering process started, the signatures are still valid.

St. George supporters want to form their own city.
